What does the future of victory homes look like?

To continuously deliver a level of quality-driven housing opportunities without compromising standards. To provide individual and shared apartments with amenities that provide additional levels of comfort for the residents and their families.

 

Where will homes be located?

Homes will be located in safe, multi-cultural, vibrant areas that provide recreation, jobs, transportation and have an inclusive, community environment.

 

Who are the residents of Victory Homes Of Maryland?

The residents are primarily people who are on the autism spectrum, as well as all levels of neurodiverse, neurodivergent and neurotypical. We invite everyone from all backgrounds to live and share the diverse richness that they inherently are gifted with.

 

Can residents use their DDA funding while living at VHOM?

Yes, if the resident has support staff/caregiver that is funded through DDA they can bring those staff to Victory Homes of Maryland to provide continuous care.

 

is victory homes of maryland government subsidized?

Victory Homes of Maryland rent is private pay only, and is not subsidized by government funding, nor do we provide assistance in obtaining funding or billing to outside agencies.

 

Does Victory homes of maryland provide staffing assistance if there is an emergency or if a resident’s team member/caregiver is absent for a shift, due to illness or other?

Yes, we can call a temporary agency that we highly recommend for temporary fill. The agency is a private pay agency that specializes in the care for people with ASD and I/DD. This is a non- medical temporary agency which means that they can not give medical assistance of any type. They can assist with transportation, on the job support, bathing, dressing, personal grooming, recreational activities, grocery shopping, weather related emergencies, meal preparation on behalf of our residents, etc. If immediate care is required our Director of Concierge will be present with the resident, until the temporary caregiver arrives.

 

Who do I contact if i have a family emergency?

If you have a family emergency, you would call our Director of Concierge at 410-977-5380.

 

If Victory homes has a weather event or an event which displaces an individual do you have an emergency plan?I

In the case of displacement, our residents will be temporarily housed at either a nearby hotel, motel, or another Victory Homes location for temporary housing.

 

When can residents receive guests?

The resident can receive guests between the hours of 8am and 9pm. For the safety and security of all of our residents, relatives and guests must be on a list of recognized permitted guests. A door code is given only to recognized permitted guests. There is video surveillance on the exterior of each Victory Homes of Maryland and in the common areas of the entrance. Although Victory Homes of Maryland does not control who the resident chooses to invite, they must be introduced via Victory Homes of Maryland visitor permit that includes picture ID.

 

Are Victory homes of maryland pet friendly homes?

No pets are permitted on the property.

 

Is there a waiting list?

If the resident is approved for one of our homes and there is no availability, the wait list is generally between 2-6 months and must be financially secured by a non-refundable deposit. Victory Homes of Maryland is conscious of selecting residents that are a good match for the model, creating a positive environment for all. Openings are also created based on type of apartment that is available at that time.
