Donna and Lowell Pidel, owners and operators of Victory Homes of Maryland, have navigated the world of disabilities both as parents, volunteers, and as board members for various for-profit and nonprofit organizations including Howard County General Hospital’s Community Action Council, The Governor’s Local Children’s Board, Howard County Autism Society, and The Linwood Center. The Pidels have two additional children, Adam and London, a daughter-in-law, Wendy and two grandchildren, Ben and Wyatt.

The family has supported raising awareness, investing in, and provided financial assistance to organizations within the community of disabilities for years. Donna and her family continue to strive for excellence and equality, and advocate for fair treatment and opportunities for all people who have intellectual challenges and differences. Their goal is to continue to elevate lifestyles, to provide a lifetime of security and much-needed growth, happiness, sharing opportunities, and resources to all who choose to reside at Victory Homes of Maryland.

DIRECTOR OF CONCIERGE

As Director of Concierge, Adebayo “Bayo” Sodunke leads the dedicated Victory Homes of Maryland Concierge Team.

Bayo received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in Business Management, Management Operational Systems. He was introduced to the world of disabilities in 2010, playing a pivotal role with persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder for the Linwood Center, Maryland. He was a house manager and spent the next 10 years learning and furthering his training, working directly with adults with ASD, both in residential and day programs.

Bayo’s love and passion for this field lead him to work directly with adults with intellectual disabilities through DDA’s program of Self Directions. In 2017, he was recognized for his work by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and was presented with a certificate of exceptional service in the field of disabilities. He currently serves on the educational staff at ‘My Life Learning Center’, assisting individuals by teaching the skills which promote vocational and job opportunities and we are delighted to have partnered with My life Learning Center, for added vocational enrichment.

We are honored to have such a brilliant skill set and it is with those same skills as that bestowed the position, ‘Director of Concierge’. Bayo’s brings leadership and distinction to the Victory Homes of Maryland organization. His gift for producing a balanced, sensitive approach to the residents of Victory Homes is impressive and brings a valuable leadership perspective that our families need. Bayo and his Concierge team are a direct point of contact for our community 24/7.
