Victory Homes of Maryland is welcoming to adults who require high level caregiver support and those who require 24/7 support or caregiver support through self directions. Each home is designed to provide social inclusion. A warm welcoming atmosphere where residents can choose how to spend their day.

Apartment rental options are fully furnished efficiency and 1 bedroom. Both private and shared bathroom and kitchen are available. Common areas are available for individuals to socialize or participate in an activity.

Our residents are remarkable individuals who have IDD/ASD, and choose to live independently in a well-maintained apartment unit of their own. Safety and security are paramount and individual choice is not a luxury, but a given. With our guidance, residents develop a strong sense of self-empowerment within their surroundings as we supply the tools to aid in a happy and engaging lifestyle.

Together, we provide the choices with which our residents can enjoy a sustainable, meaningful quality lifestyle. It is our belief that people who have IDD/ASD, have equal rights to live and choose where and who they wish to reside. Most of our residents receive DDA funding of their own, are in Self Directed Services, and/or are financially independent and have acquired their own team of caregivers.

Victory Homes is not a group home, assisted living, or planned community - but are individual homes that are located within culturally diverse neighborhoods of the Maryland suburbs. Painstaking care is taken in order to make resident life a wonderful environment in which to live. The most important element of our housing model is safety and security, along with well-maintained and stimulating activities. Residing with the Victory Homes model of housing is residing with a caring, supportive full-team approach to the delivery of quality residential comfort.

Nearby restaurants, libraries, cafes, retail shops, grocery stores are at the fingertips. Residents can also enjoy activities such as assisted gardening (seasonal) and in-house arts and crafts with the companionship of other residents are a natural benefit of co-housing if they so choose. Families are always welcome and can drop by at any time. We welcome an open door policy. Friday nights are special at each home, as families can come together and create a backyard cookout or create an activity as we foster family community bonding.

Our role as an advocate is to become a facilitator of choices and to promote that freedom of choice by providing a safe, warm and inviting home environment together with a plethora of community and in-house enrichment.

APARTMENT fee

The Fee includes a fully furnished apartment and full-time Concierge service 24/7, 365 days of the year, as well as other amenities which differ from home to home.

We pride ourselves upon the ability to offer housing rentals to individuals who may never have the opportunity to live independently in their own homes. All amenities are have been tailored specifically to persons who have a diagnosis of moderate to severe IDD/autism. Amenities are offered to bring happiness and the availability of personal growth and life-changing progress. The possibility of living a full, meaningful, and happy life begins with who you are surrounded by.

Residents can incorporate daily living skills into their own schedule if they choose by learning how to manage their household skills. Keeping their apartment well maintained, cleaning, making beds, cooking, and more are a part of daily growth that are presented each day as a part of the home choice. All are invited to become involved in their own personal standards of living.

We have created an open door policy atmosphere, whereby a strong sense of inclusion is a given and vibrant energy is palpable. It’s extremely helpful for our residents not only to get out into their neighborhood but to become a member, with purpose, promoting the opportunity for continuous exposure to and with neuro-typical people, places, and environments.
